How to switch between virtual consoles in ubuntu?
Ubuntu has got a unique feature which allows the user to switch between virtual consoles quite easily. The console which the user is given is a command line interface.
To check this out try the combination of the keys:
Alt + Ctrl + F1
This will give you prompt tty1.
You can switch between the prompt using the combination as above with F1 up to F6.
Alt + Ctrl + F7 is the combination for the actual ubuntu desktop which is what the user sees by default.
It is very useful feature which allows you to work on separate computer security projects during one user session.
