How to kill no responding programs in ubuntu?


How to kill irresponsive programs in ubuntu?

It is easy to do with xkill utility. 

Go to your Keyboard shortcuts preferences and and new custom shortcut as it is shown in the picture:

XKill is nice way to kill not responding applications.
Then click "Apply"

Next step is to  click on

Disable 

and press the combination of the keys:

Ctrl + Alt + x

The combination above  will start the xkill application everytime you press it.

Now if one of the programs is not responding just press "Ctrl + Alt + x", point the cross (mouse pointer) in the not responding application and kill it  by left click.

You can always quit the xkill by right mouse click.
